Notes

This is the page to check if you want to know whether we are still here and still building. It is not a newsletter and nothing on it is sent to anyone. If a note changes what the front page promises, the front page changes the same day.

One identity, from website to consultation.

The website now shares the working prototype’s typography, original mark and colours. The consultation walkthrough is reader-controlled, product screens can be enlarged, and the mobile navigation and signup feedback have been improved. The sample consultation now calls out conflicting recommendations instead of implying that every preview fits the brief. Our privacy explanation distinguishes capture photos, retained references and saved client images. The product screens and captioned film now use the 14 September prototype with Manrope and the original mark. The film combines sample intake, saved results and a separate demonstration booking; it does not imply a new generation.

The product on the page.

The prototype moved faster than the site did, so the site caught up. The hero is now the Looks stage itself, with two renders you can drag and switch. Under it, a short recording of one consultation from setup to the first steps of the cut guide, made on the working prototype with its sample photos. At the time of this note, the screens on the page were captures of that build, not a mock-up, and the cut guide shown is one real plan, all eleven steps. The list of what the system does today is complete for the first time, and so is the list of what it doesn’t.

The page you see now.

Rebuilt the site as one story told from the chair, in twelve sections instead of seventeen. Real screens from the app replaced the mock-ups: the three-angle capture, the appointment tracker, the head map, and five steps from one real Cut Guide. A second client joined the before-and-after in the hero, and the faces became the control. Everything the old page claimed is still claimed, and everything it implied about being finished is gone.

Three stylists agreed to be named.

Another round of conversations, on shift, in independents and in two national chains. Nobody was paid and nobody was recorded, so nothing we publish is a quotation. Angelina, Anna and Craig gave permission for their first names and their points to appear on the front page, in our words. One point had nothing to do with pictures: a misread consultation ends up in the review, and the review is the income.

strandly.ai goes up.

The first teaser page and the waitlist. One email address, nothing else. The fonts are self-hosted, so loading them does not send a visitor’s IP address to a separate font service. The privacy and terms pages went up the same day, written in plain language before any lawyer has read them, because we would rather be plain first and formal later.

Questions about anything here: hello@strandly.ai. A person reads it.
