Beauty, reimagined by intelligence.
You said “just a trim.” They heard something else, and nobody found out until it was already cut. We’re closing that gap. We’re not ready to show you how.
The premise
Every AI shows you a fantasy.
We show you the truth.
Not carelessness. Two people used the same four words and pictured two different heads, and neither of them was wrong.
Every trade has a way of carrying what one person knows to the next. This one never got one.
What your stylist learns about your hair stays in their head, and starts over the moment you sit in a different chair.
The missing piece was never a better photo app. It was intelligence that travels.
Closing that gap honestly, not flatteringly, is the whole product. We are ready to tell you it exists. We are not ready to tell you how it works.
One thread, three moments
One thread through three moments. First, in the chair: you see the haircut on your own face before it happens. Second, at the hands: your stylist works from the same picture you agreed on. Third, in the room: the shop keeps what worked.
-
01
In the chair · for you
See it on you first
Look at the haircut on your own face before anyone picks up the scissors. Change your mind while changing it is still free.
-
02
At the hands · for your stylist
Cut from the same picture
Your stylist works from the exact look you both agreed on. “Just a trim” stops meaning two different things.
-
03
In the room · for the shop
Keep what worked
The shop remembers the results people loved. Fewer do-overs, steadier reviews, and the know-how stays when someone moves on.
Inside the consultation
Same face. Same chair. Same light. One side is the photograph you walked in with. The other is the haircut that hasn’t happened yet.
-
478
points, mapped
Face shape, hairline, where your beard actually grows. Read from three angles, not guessed from one flat photo.
-
3
looks, not a catalogue
Three, chosen for your face and the length you already have. Never one that needs hair you don’t have — a haircut only takes away.
-
24h
and our copy is gone
Deleted from our own systems on a timer. A rendering partner isn’t on the same clock yet, and we’re fixing that before the first cohort.
Three angles, and it waits for you to be still
Front, side, back. The camera fires itself when your head is where it needs to be, so nobody is holding a tablet asking you to turn a little more.
Front reads face shape, hairline, and beard. Side reads length and how it falls. Back reads what you can never see yourself.
What we believe
Beauty tech spent a decade making people look like someone else. We’re interested in the opposite.
Setting expectations
What it isn’t
What it is
A face photo is biometric data. We built for that from day one.
This is not a policy page written after launch. It is how the system is engineered, and it is the reason we can say the next four things plainly.
Ephemeral by default
Capture photos delete from our own systems on a 24-hour timer. What’s stored afterwards is coarse analysis. Never landmark data. Never your face.
Consent you can take back
An append-only consent log with per-person, revocable retention. Revoking doesn’t queue a request. It purges.
Deletion that deletes
Type-to-confirm erasure: files first, then a single database transaction, verified at the byte level. No soft-delete flag.
Labelled, always
Anything the system generates is marked as a preview. Real outcomes are never dressed up as results.
Adults only. Never sold. Never used to train without explicit consent. The full posture lives on our privacy page, written in plain language.
Small on purpose. Opened in waves.
Two kinds of people are getting in: the ones behind the chair, and the ones sitting in it.
Ask
One email address. No form gauntlet, no discovery call, no credit card.
Move up
You get a place in line and a link to share. Every accepted invite lifts you. Real position, real scarcity. No countdown theatre.
Found it with us
You’ll shape what ships, hear pricing before anyone else, and keep founding status when we open publicly.
We’ve watched too many people describe a haircut in words, point at a photo of a stranger with a different face, and then spend six weeks growing out the answer.
That gap is a technology problem, and nobody was solving it honestly. So we’re building the opposite of a filter: something that starts from your hair instead of from a fantasy.
If it can’t be reproduced in the chair, we won’t show it to you.
We’re opening a small first cohort.
Leave an email and you’ll get a place in line and a link to move up it. Nothing else. We won’t sell you anything before there’s something to sell.
You’re in.
Move up the list. Invite a friend. Every accepted invite lifts your place.
Check your inbox for a confirmation. We email when your wave opens, and not otherwise.
What we can answer now.
Anything else, write to us. A person reads it.
What is Strandly, exactly?
A consultation platform for salons and barbershops. Beyond that we’re keeping the specifics quiet until the first cohort is in. What we’ll say now: the conversation, the cut and what gets remembered are three separate things today, held together by memory. We’re making them one.
Who is the first cohort for?
Stylists and barbers, the shops they work in, and the people who sit in their chairs. We’re keeping it small so we can work closely with everyone in it.
Do you train on my photos?
No. Not without explicit, revocable consent. Capture photos delete from our own systems on a 24-hour timer, and nothing is ever sold. Revoking consent purges immediately rather than queueing a request. Generating a preview also involves a third-party rendering provider, and holding that provider to the same 24-hour clock is work we are finishing before the first cohort opens. We would rather say that plainly than round it up.
When does access open?
In waves, beginning with the first cohort. You’ll get an email when your wave opens. No countdown timers, no manufactured urgency. If we’re not ready, we’ll say so.
Does it cost anything?
The first cohort is free while we build alongside it. Pricing comes later. Founding members hear it first, and keep founding status when we open publicly.
Meet the you the mirror can’t show yet.
The first cohort is small, and it’s the only way in before we open publicly. There’s still no name for this. Come help us pick one.
